Assistant Administrator UNDP, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific 1961, Secretary General 1971, Assistant Director UNDP 1971. Adviser to the PM and cabinet of Ministers in International Economic Cooperation. President Colombo Plan Council. Alternate for Sri Lanka to the World Bank. Staged plays, Ibsens' Dolls House, Strindbergh's Ghosts and Candida. Died:7-Apr1981.

Born:1920. Educated at Royal College, Colombo. Obtained school colors in Cricket, Tennis, Athletics. 100 yards Sprint Champion. Began his cricket career in 1948 and played under Sathasivam aganist the team led by Don Bradman and also the West Indies led by John Goddard. last appeared in International Cricket in 1950.
