Born  16-Dec-1891 at Kollupitiya. Educated at English Buddhist Mixed School, Ananda College, Colombo. Teacher, Training College, Colombo. Employed as a temporary clerk at the Government Education Department 1932. Retired 1949. Organized the Great Industrial Exhibition at Vihara Maha Devi Park with Dr. C.A. Hewavitharane in 1924. Wrote Drama. Works include Biography of Rajasinghe II, Kavyamala, Gemunu Raja, Dasamaha Yodaya, Guttila Kavya, Saranasaya. Pioneer of the Radio Program “Radio Rangamadala”. Received title of Mudaliyar in 1938. Chairman, Eastern Service, Radio Ceylon. Member Vidyodaya University Council, Vidyartha Sabha, Peradeniya University Council. Died 7-Dec-1965
