Johan Raffel, son of Christiaan Raffel and Engeltina GILLER was born 22nd November 1809 and died 18th December 1865. He married Maria Charlotta Alvison, on the 7th July 1834 at The Dutch Reformed Church, Wolvendaal, Colombo, (Ceylon) Sri Lanka.

2. Louisa Raffel born 2nd July 1836, died 2th May 1836. Married on the 14th September 1854 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Wolvendaal, Colombo, Frederick Hendrick Van GEYZEL, who was born 17th February 1830. Son of Lourence Jacobus Van Geyzel and Salomina Martina de Wass
3. Emelia Raffel, born 23rd February 1839. Married on the 8th July 1861 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Wolvendaal, Colombo, James Charles JANSZ who was born 29th February 1840. Son of Henry Albertus Jansz and Charlotte Dorothea HOFFMAN. Child of Emilia Raffel and James Albertus Jansz;
Walter Edward Jansz, born 2nd October 1879, died 26th October 1935. Married Elsie Viva McCarthy HEYZER, born 5th September 1881.

6. Julia Anthonetta Raffel, born 30th March 1843. Married 17th December 1868 at St. Phillip Neri's Church Church, Pettah, Colombo (Ceylon) Sri Lanka, Emanuel Doyle FERNANDO.

8. Sophia Charlotta Raffel born 6th January 1846, died 21st January 1883. Married James SCHOCKMAN on the 11th October 1865 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Wolvendaal, Colombo (Ceylon) Sri Lanka. He was born 23rd October 1842 and died 26th October 1883. Son of Jan Hendrick Schockman.

11. Harriet Leonora Raffel, born 20th December 1850, married on the 7th March 1868 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Wolvendaal, Colombo (Ceylon) Sri Lanka, Charles Augustus JOACHIM.
12. George Frederick Raffel, born 31st August 1835.
