Salvador Dip-Barquet Vital Documents
Salvador's birth certificate below, reveals some important details:
- Salvador was given the name Jorge at birth, so his real name is Jorge Salvador Dip
- Salvador was born in Mexico in 1989, the first child of Salomon Dip to be born there.
- Salvador's father, Salomon was 27 years old then, and he was already a father of 4 children.
- Salvador's Godfather was his uncle (a Lebanese tradition to have uncles as godfathers) Elias Hanna Dib (Elias Juan Dip). Which means Elias had emigrated to Mexico by that time. He was a new immigrant, and did not speak Spanish yet. Elias later returned to Lebanon, and lived there, and died there.
- Salvador's mother Ruda Barquet, was mentioned to be the daughter of Abraham Dip and Rosa Emilia Dip. This maybe a mistake since Ruda is from the Barquet family and not from the Dib family. Ruda's mother is recorded to be Rosa Emilia Dip too, this maybe another mistake, or it could also be that she was from the Dip family. This is a speculation and needs to be further verified.
- Salvador's maternal grandmother was mentioned as Maria Tacdul. This is also a mistake, since her name was Mariam (Maria, OK) Fadul.

At the center: - In Zacatecas on 19 nineteen December of 1899 One thousand eight hundred ninety nine, at 11:00 eleven in the morning, before the Judge of the Civil State Jose de la Rosa Romo, appeared Salomon Juan DIP 27 twenty seven years of age, commercant, originally from the Port of Tripoli of the Turkish Territory, married with Catalina Rosa Dip 22 years of age, also originally from the Port of Tripoli of the Turkish Territory, residents of this city for 1 one year 3 three months and presented alive a boy conceived in their marriage, who was born in this Capital, residing at Tacuba, number 33 thirty three, on the twenty eighth day of this month at eight at night and gave him the name of Jorge; who will retain the Turkish nationality, being grandson by paternal line of Juan Dip and Maria Tacdul and by the maternal one, of Abraham DIP and Emilia Rose DIP.

In the baptism certificate below, more interesting details are revealed:
- Salvador's godmother was Juana S. del Real . Not sure who she is.
- Salvador name in baptism was Jorge Salvador. His birth name is Jorge, like his cousin Gergi, born in Lebanon 4 years earlier.
- Salvador was born on the evening of November 28, and not on December 19th.
- Salvador's paternal grandmother's name was listed as Maria Zater, instead of Maria Fadul. Another mistake.
- Slavador's mother's name was corrected to Catalina Abraham. We know that Ruda changed her name to Catalina in Mexico because her Lebanese name "Ruda" was similiar to "Ruota" which in Spanish means "wheel". But we are sure her father's name now was Abraham (not necessarily Dip). Tradition in Lebanon used to give the father's name as a family name, so her real name was Ruda Ibrahim Barquet, but referred to as Ruda (or actually Catalina) Abraham (dropping off the Barquet last name).
- Salvador's maternal grandmohter's name was changed to Emilia Dip. Instead of Rosa Emilia Dip. The interesting part is that they kept the name Dip attached to her (but unfortunately so did Abraham). If this is not another mistake, then Abraham Barquet must have married Emilia from the Dib family. Not sure who she is! Could it be that she was from the same Dip family? We should know that the name Emilia, or Amalia, or Emelie, was prominent in the entire Hanna Dib family, and not necessarily just in Salomon Dip's branch. So I find this Emilia (or maybe another Emilia, parent to this one) a very interesting relative to pursue research on, because she will expand the Dip family known and detailed in this family tree.
- Catlaina's last name was stated that it was Abraham in error, and subsequently correctd to Barquet.
