Abou Youssef Elias Dib


Born in Aakoura, Jbeil. Died in Dlebta, Kesrwan after 1717.


The patriarch of the Dib Mhanna family of Dlebta. Was called Abou Youssef (after his older son), and also Bou Dib (after his father, not his younger son Dib)
In 1610, came from Aakoura, Jbeil, to Dlebta, Kesrewan, and built a house there.
Bought from his brother Abou Mhanna land properties.
In 1645 delimited of the lands of Dlebta / Aaramoun.
In 1671 he gave his uncle's (Khoury Hanna) property to Hakleh convent.
In 1708 (1134 Hijra) bought some land from Bou Abdalla Younes for one cent.
In 1715 he bought the Tayouneh Field from the Khazens, where he built there a long street in which most of his family branches lived before they became too numerous. By 1817, on that street lived : Hanna father of Kanaan and Jenadious and their brothers and Elias grandfather of the Khoury Jebrail and his brothers, where their descendents still live.
in 1717 he (Bou Dib) divided some property (not sure where) with his nephew Abou Raad (???).
